North East Gospel Choir

We are the North East Gospel Choir – a non-auditioned, adult, mixed community choir. The choir was originally set up as part of the 20 000 Voices project and has been going strong ever since. There are over 60 current choir members (and we are always happy to welcome more during the first 3 weeks of term).
We sing a variety of styles of songs - obviously traditional Gospel, spirituals and worship songs, as well as more modern numbers (often made popular in films such as “Sister Act”), Soul and Motown. We also have a wide ranging Festive repertoire. We generally sing a cappella in up to four part harmony, led by Sharon Durant

Fees:
Payment is made directly to the choir. Payment per session is available, although termly or half-termly is preferred. Please contact the choir secretary for more details: northeastgospel@gmail.com
We hope to keep our singing workshops affordable, so that if you - like us - are currently in reduced circumstances, you can still get your weekly dose of singing without worrying about the cost.
